How to Connect with Your Intuition: Unlock Inner Wisdom and Insight.
Intuition it is instinctual rather than rational. It is beyond words. It needs to be experienced rather than explained. Your intuition is connected to a higher power. It is your inner voice and knowing that if you pay attention to it, it will guide you to safety and help create your wildest dreams. When you connect to your intuition it provides you with powerful insights about yourself, situations and others. It always has your highest and best interests at heart. And what is highest and best for you is the best for everyone.
It can be hard to discern what is intuition and what is fear. And it can take a lot of courage and trust to act on the guidance your intuition is giving you because it dosen’t always make rational sense.
Power Down:
Take time and space away from your devices. Constantly being bombarded by media and others will cloud your intuition and will make it hard for you to hear your own inner knowing. Ideally stay off your phone two hours after you wake and two hours before bed. This will create space for your guidance and creativity to speak. Reflect in a journal what comes of spending time with yourself in the early morning and evening.
Think Back:
Think about your day from finish to start. Recall the events of your day as they occurred but see them in your mind in reverse. This will help you tap into your intuitive and non-rational part of the brain. It will strengthen the neural connections and help you to live outside the logical mind. Since intuition is not logic it is important to strengthen this part of your mind. Think back every night before going to bed. Spend some time going through your day in reverse. The more you practice the easier it will be.
Dream Recall:
Start to pay attention to your dreams. Recall your dreams by writing them down first thing in the morning when you wake up. This will help you to understand what your intuition is trying to tell you, as your dreams are the language of your subconscious. Gut Decision:
Tune into your body and listen to your gut. Your “gut” can show up as a pit in your stomach or a shaking in the hands if you have a bad feeling about something or don’t trust someone. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. This is your intuition talking to you. To practice move from the thinking mind into the body. You can practice tuning into the body by doing a body scan. Practice this body scan everyday for a week to start to get in tune with your body, and learn how to listen to what it is telling you. This will help you to trust your body when it speaks to you, and it will demonstrate to your body that you are listening.
Practice connecting to your intuition every day by carving out time for quiet, listening and reflecting on your dreams, strengthening your creative side by recalling the day in reverse and tuning into and connecting to your body. Do this for 44 days and see your life transform as you build trust in your intuition and inner knowing.
